I earned my bachelors and masters degrees in music education from the University of Oregon. During my time in Eugene, I was a section leader in the athletic bands, student director of the tuba-euphonium ensemble, and member of many chamber ensembles. As a graduate student I conducted my arrangements with the Wind Ensemble and helped lead the marching band at the Rose Bowl. My experiences created the belief that every person is a musician that can access their abilities through individualized or group instruction.
In my public education career, I averaged twenty students sent every year to Washington's State Solo & Ensemble contest, on all types of instruments. Very few of them took lessons and I can only imagine their success if they had access to quality private instruction supplementing their experiences in band class.
I offer flexible rates based on practice time and financial need.
Please contact me for information about private lessons, small ensemble coaching, and large ensemble clinics.
